Goal | Make sure the site is optimised for SEO before going live |
Time | 1 month |
Introduction
Optimising a new website for SEO before launching is crucial for the whole SEO campaign. The first crawl that Google makes of your new domain has an enormous influence on your brand and the organic visibility of your site.
This client contacted us with a website that had already been completed – a WordPress site with custom design and content. The site was built by developers who didn’t focus on SEO.
Work
We did the following work to make sure that the site was ready before launching:
- Tech audit
- Content audit
- Optimised with catchy metadata
- Added CTA
- Improved keyword density and variations
- And more
- UX audit
- Configuring schema
After the audits, we made sure the changes were implemented correctly and made one more final check to make sure everything was good to go before launching.
Results
When the site launched, we did one more crawl, added it to Google Search Console, and monitored its performance. Since day one, organic traffic has been steadily increasing and we have not tracked any errors or issues in GSC.
6 weeks after launching, we tracked the first sale from organic traffic.
